Patrick Lawrence and Kevin

Patrick and Kevin played Division-1 football together at a popular university in Texas. 

Post-college, they reconnected with one goal: to grow a real estate empire.  Since then, they decided to take their knowledge of RE investing and corporate experience and build a business aimed at helping their colleagues also invest in real estate, without making some of the same mistakes they made.

The CoHost Academy was created to help high-income earning professionals, business owners, and even those who would define themselves as "novice" investors, upskill themselves quickly in this industry.

Pat and Kevnt want their students to carve their path towards financial freedom through real estate. 

Our Story

Patrick and Kevin always knew they wanted to achieve great things in life. After graduation, they each landed amazing careers in tech and were able to afford a comfortable life for themselves and their families. However, several years after graduating, neither one felt they had made substantial enough progress in their aspirations to travel the world, eliminate debt, save for the future, and save substantially. 

Once they started down the path of investing in real estate to achieve F.I.R.E. (financially independent, retire early) there was no looking back.

Fast-forward a few years, the two decided to partner together to teach what they had learned in their own RE investing journeys - and thus, The CoHost Academy was born!  

If you're like us and feel as though you're not maximizing your financial potential, you're not alone. After the launch of our academy, we had hundreds of white (and blue)-collar employees, with decent amounts of disposable income, reach out to start their real estate investing journey. 

Why We Do It

Financial literacy is not a term Kevin ever heard growing up. While his (single) mom did her best to provide for him and his two brothers, they lived paycheck to paycheck most of their lives. "Seeing my family struggle inspired me to aim higher. Despite two college degrees and a high-paying career, I still found myself drowning in debt and with virtually no assets at almost 30 years old. It wasn't until I dabbled in real estate that I started to really see some major lifestyle changes". -Kevin Mitchell 

For Patrick, it was more about creating a legacy for his two boys. Clocking into work without a clear vision for the future wasn't quite his idea of the "American Dream". 

 Both are now on a mission to continue to grow their financial positions while teaching others to do the same!
